This bathroom renovation was done on a $6,500 budget and in under a week – and delivered a $15,000 profit to the owner.
The renovation strategy was to replace the dated bathroom, which had no toilet, with a brand new bathroom that had a toilet and better circulation space. The works included:
- Installation of a brand new bathroom.
- Removal of asbestos.
- Deletion of linen press to allow space for a new toilet.
- Reconfigure the plumbing to allow for new services.
- Wall sheeting, waterproofing, tiling.
- Installation of new fixtures and fittings.

In this case the house was on piers (lifted off the ground), so there was no concrete cutting required. Typically you can expect to pay around $2K for plumbing on a bathroom where you are rejigging the layout.
