Cherie’s Eschol Park Renovation
THE STORY:
Single mother, Livian has dreamt of becoming a renovator and is looking to cut her teeth on her own home in Eschol Park in Sydney’s south west. She’s renovating her home to boost the property value and feels confident with the interior modifications but has no idea how to make the façade of her 80’s brick home more appealing. She has called in Cherie Barber to offer some renovating advice. Livian has a budget of just $8k for the front facade, but will that be enough?
RENOVATION STRATEGY:
Cherie’s renovation strategy is to update the front façade to give it a more modern and fresh. She’ll do away with the dark and mottled brick and strip away the 1980s features such as the arched brickwork, by adding a new entrance to the porch. The works include:
- Render and paint entire front façade,
- Paint façade windows
- Installation of new timber sleeper screen and porch steps
- Installation of new planter boxes with plants
- Paving painting the driveway
- New letterbox and exterior lighting
