Our Students Are Creating Wealth...
The couple managed to snare the large, unrenovated house, perched on a sprawling 3500sqm block, for a bargain $350,000 – mainly because the broken asbestos roof scared off buyers. It was by far the single biggest cost to fix, at $20,000, but as it was a known expense it was factored into the renovation cost.
Martin & Leanne
The unit ticked so many boxes and was clearly perfect for a cosmetic makeover. The couple knew first-hand what renovated properties were selling for in our target suburb on the Gold Coast, so they pounced on this property the day it came on the market.
Daniel & Melinda
The couple purchased a humble 2-bedroom weatherboard cottage, located close to beaches, lake, shops, schools, close proximity to Wyong hospital and the M1. They proved masters at finding bargains online and recycling existing materials wherever possible, which kept costs to the bare minimum.
Karen & Scotta
This deceased estate in Geelong seemed perfect for a smart cosmetic renovation & was bought off-market with a long 120-day settlement. The long settlement gave Laura ample time to plan and complete the six-week renovation before settlement day, so it could immediately go on the rental market.
This latest project was a rundown, rambling house in the Moreton Bay region of Queensland, which Jason picked up for a keen price: $305,000. The 3-bedroom, 2 storey home was structurally sound, but cosmetically tired - perfect for a transformation.
Moreton Bay Region
Jennifer wasn’t even in the market for a renovation when she came across this modest find & spotted its profit potential. The unit was in original 70s condition, so virtually every surface needed to be refreshed or replaced. That meant it was ripe for a cosmetic makeover. Perfect!
